Tech Impact partners with nonprofits all around the world to help them leverage technology to advance social impact. Tech Impact’s annual Celebration of Impact Awards Luncheon is the Philadelphia region’s premier technology-focused philanthropic event. It brings together IT and business executives committed to sustaining and improving the technology careers of individuals in the greater Philadelphia tech community.

Tech Impact’s Influence

Last year, in part with sponsorship from Haverford Systems, Tech Impact’s 2021 Luncheon raised over $190,000, despite being a virtual event. Haverford was glad to help individuals gain the skills and experience needed to launch technology careers through Tech Impact’s ITWorks, CXWorks, and PunchCode programs and to support the technology needs of hundreds of nonprofits through Tech Impact’s Nonprofit Technology Services.

As of this year, over 1,000 individuals have graduated from Tech Impact’s workforce training programs nationwide! This is due in part to support from companies like Haverford, which remove barriers to access for young adults who aspire to technology careers by funding workforce development programs that provide them free training and job placement. This support helps ensure success for these young people as they find their place in the tech community.

Tech Impact provides the necessary training for both unemployed and underemployed individuals in the IT community. Workforce development and IT both play a crucial role in improving the economy and helping the community grow and thrive.

Haverford’s Commitment to Community

Haverford understands that IT and workforce development are integral to strengthening the tech community and improving the economy, and Tech Impact does a great job of creating an inclusive tech talent pipeline and training the underemployed and unemployed for careers in IT. That’s why Haverford is so committed to supporting nonprofits like Tech Impact. Programs like their ITWorks Tech Training course improve the career prospects and lives of so many individuals looking for opportunities to both advance their own lives and to make a difference in the lives of others.

The 2022 Celebration of Impact Awards Luncheon

This year, on Friday, November 4th, the 2022 Celebration of Impact Awards Luncheon, presented by Robert Half Technology, aims to raise $250,000 in support of Tech Impact’s programs and services. There will be keynote remarks from OneTen CEO Maurice Jones. OneTen hires, promotes, and advances Black individuals who do not have a four-year degree into family-sustaining careers. HSI looks forward to attending this event.
