In a collaboration aimed at furthering organizational efficiency, Haverford Systems completed a technology overhaul of an executive boardroom and three additional meeting spaces at Merakey, a nonprofit headquartered in Lafayette Hill that provides developmental, behavioral health, and education services.
Our team began with a client-centric approach, attentively listening to Merakey’s objectives. This ensured that our customized solutions would not only align with their goals but would also seamlessly integrate with the unique characteristics of each space.
“I’ve been here for seven years, and Haverford Systems has always been a part of our group of trusted vendors. A word that describes them is patience. A lot of vendors come in and try to move right to the invoice, so they can get paid.”
Ed Witchey, Senior Director of IT Project Management, Merakey
Scope of Work
After a comprehensive site survey, our team designed a custom plan for Merakey. The mainstay of the upgrade was the executive boardroom with three commercial Samsung displays. An Extron control system allowed seamless control over multiple room functions, including the ability to reveal a large commercial display behind a movable wooden wall. These improvements aimed to aid in efficient and effective decision-making, a crucial aspect for an organization with 8,000 employees who provide support to nearly 40,000 individuals in 12 states across the country each year.
Extending beyond the boardroom, three other spaces were equipped with commercial displays and video conferencing equipment. All four meeting spaces were optimized with Zoom Room capabilities which improved virtual engagements.
Result
As a direct result of the AV upgrade, the meeting spaces were transformed into collaborative environments that not only improved internal communication but also modernized the overall workspaces. Our team’s commitment to understanding Merakey’s unique needs was exemplified through extensive collaboration, spending considerable time to develop a custom solution tailored specifically to Merakey’s goals.
“Admittedly, we don’t always know exactly what we want, and Haverford recently spent the better part of six to nine months here, showing us different technology, giving us time to do our research. They’re not trying to come in to immediately get us on an invoice. They’re trying to provide solutions.”
