Project Requirements
Merakey, a nonprofit headquartered in Lafayette Hill, provides developmental, behavioral health, and educational services to nearly 40,000 individuals across 12 states each year. To further organizational efficiency, the team needed technology upgrades for their executive boardroom and three additional meeting spaces. Each space had unique characteristics, and the new audiovisual systems would need to integrate seamlessly while remaining intuitive and easy to use.
The goal of these improvements was to support productive, effective decision-making across the organization. With 8,000 employees coordinating programs and services nationwide, Merakey needed reliable tools that would improve collaboration, streamline meetings, and allow executives and staff to focus on their critical work rather than managing technology.

Solution
- Displays: The executive boardroom features three commercial Samsung displays around the room, including one discreetly hidden behind a movable wooden wall for flexible presentation setups. The other three meeting spaces are each equipped with a commercial display to ensure consistent visual clarity across the office.
- Video Conferencing: All four meeting spaces have Zoom Room capabilities, integrating high-definition cameras, microphones, and speakers, making it simple to launch meetings with multiple participants.
- Control System: An Extron control system allows staff to easily manage room functions, including display selection and video conferencing, from a single, intuitive interface.
Result
As a direct result of the A/V upgrade, the meeting spaces were transformed into collaborative environments that improved internal communication and modernized Merakey’s workspaces. Whether in person or virtual, meetings run smoothly, and decisions can be made faster. The A/V system created professional, technology-enabled spaces that support the unique demands of a healthcare organization, helping staff stay connected and productive across multiple locations.
